Color Forecast 2011: “Gentle Medley” Color Scheme

Taking it’s inspiration from a day spent at the antique store and the whimsical palette that reminds us of easier times, this color scheme, designed by Sherwin Williams, incorporates a series of innocent and flirty colors that are thoroughly modern.  Elements of this color scheme include vintage florals, dragonfly, butterfly, and leaf motifs, mismatched flea-market finds, hand tinted photos and maps.

Our showroom’s modestly sized convenience kitchen has been transformed to the Gentle Medley color scheme.  We have all the finishes laid out in the showroom.  Come check it out this week!

The Colors of Stone

Don’t just think earth tones when you think of natural stone. Here are just a few natural stone with some great colors!

Live next to a beautiful Colorado lake or river (or wish you did?!)? Bring some of that beauty into your home with Sodalite Blue Granite. Who needs a Van Gogh painting on your wall when you can have it on your countertops!?
Then some of my personal favorites, Green! A pretty neutral color, it can make a huge statement with the movement throughout the stone.

Maybe red is your color; you might just love Rojo River!

Don’t hesitate to use color even for a small splash here and there. Try any of the granites above on your island while keeping your perimeter countertops a good neutral tone. Or a splash of color on your vanity top to bring a smile to your face every morning! Enjoy the beauty of natural stone and know there is no other piece like it in the world! I would love to find a place for nature’s artwork in your home.
